Well….. we finally did it. We went to California and got legally married. We didn’t need to, since we had our
Holy Union 11 years ago, in fact 11 years and one day to the date. We got married to make a statement. We
also wanted to get married as symbol of our commitment (or rather re-commitment) to each other and for
those that are unable to make that commitment at this time.
We went to the Historic Orange County Courthouse in Santa Ana, Ca for our ceremony. We had invited two
friends to go with us but when it came time we had five people there as witnesses, it was quite a surprise
and we were delighted to have them all with us.
Afterward we took everyone to lunch and then we went to Disneyland. We had our photo taken in front of
the castle and that evening we went and had an absolutely wonderful meal at the Napa Rose.
We want to thank David Michael and Al Lutz for being our photographers and to Cap and Enrique for being
part of our audience.
To all who long for that feeling of acceptance and legitimacy for their relationships…….. hang in there, your
time is coming soon…….
